Aug 04, 2015 After a windows update, I can no longer start Skype for business. It tries to start on a computer restart, but just stays at the 'Starting' page. I see 25% CPU allocated to the service, but it will just stay on the screen for hours. I have restarted many times and tried rolling back all the Skype for business updates incrementally with no success. Log out and quit Skype for Business. Open Keychain Access from /Applications/Utilities folder. Besides, from the version I can see that you are using Skype for Business for Mac 16.23. If the issue persists, I want to confirm if you are using the insider version.

Is there any way to uninstall and reinstall Skype for Business?
Anything else to try? I'm running Lync for Business 2013 and Windows 8.1 Enterprise. Can you start it logged in as another profile? If so, I'd go back to your profile and trash (actually just rename) the following dirs.

And registry keys:HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftOffice15.0LyncC:UsersAppDataLocalMicrosoftOffice15.0LyncIf logging into a different profile gives the same issue, I'd try to uninstall and reinstall. If that doesn't fix it, I'd check to see if one of your drivers was updated and is causing the issue as well. Sometimes video, audio, webcam, and Bluetooth or other drivers can get in the way. Going back to generic drivers (or trying safe mode)may help identify if this is an issue. Please remember, if you see a post that helped you please click 'Vote As Helpful' and if it answered your question please click 'Mark As Answer'.This forum post is based upon my personal experience and does not necessarily reflect the opinion or view of Microsoft, its employees, or other MVPs.
